A Small Win

Shared on social media on October 18th, 2018.

While listening to a Lyme podcast, I was reminded of all the “wins.”

That day I was struggling with the symptoms that I was still working on & wondering what my new “normal” would look like when/if I healed all the damage. ⁣⁣It was a great reminder of the times that even the simplest task took all I had while leaving me exhausted & in so much pain. Even though the “win” seemed so small for the average person, for me it was a big step. ⁣Below are some “wins” that came to mind. ⁣

•I no longer need to sit & rest to walk from my bed to bathroom. ⁣⁣

•I no longer need to sit on the shower floor because it was too exhausting to wash my hair. ⁣⁣

•I can talk without getting winded. ⁣⁣

•I remember my name & phone # again.⁣⁣

•I no longer get hot flashes multiple times a day. •I no longer need to nap after work just to be able to eat dinner. ⁣⁣

•I am no longer nauseous 24/7.⁣⁣

•I no longer lose grip of items I hold.⁣⁣

•I no longer have a daily fever.⁣⁣

•I have vision back in both eyes.⁣⁣

•I no longer have sleep paralysis or panic attacks. ⁣⁣

•I no longer forget how to do everyday things like subtract, laundry, or how to get to places I had been to multiple times.
