Self care Friday!
I’m making it a thing.
Lyme has taught me many things but slowing down has been the hardest to grasp.
The old me used to be up by 4:30 am to run then do a class at the gym. Followed by working 10-12 hours in my classroom.
Now I am excited for the days that I don’t need 10-13 hours of sleep! #movingupintheworld
I had to come to the conclusion that I can’t do everything that I used to & learned to be ok with that.
I have chosen to step away from teaching for a year to focus on fully healing.
Could I have pushed through like so many years past- yes.
I got to the point of not living or being able to enjoy life for so many years that I needed to slow down. I wanted to have more good days so I can simply-LIVE!
Now I work part time at a clinic that aligns perfectly with my passion for holistic health.
I know others may not understand this decision but it isn’t for others. It is for me. Those people that truly matter have been so supportive and without judgement.
So moral of the story- just do YOU so you can live & enjoy life!
